Man donates two classic Ferraris in will.

Richard Colton a well known member of the Ferrari Owners’ Club and lived in Northamptonshire left a legacy in his will for two Ferraris to be donated to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to be sold or auctioned off to raise funds as the RNLI is a charity of lifesaving volunteers to give there time to aid unfortunate sea farers in times of distress.

The two Ferraris are a Ferrari 250 GT SWB from 1960, and a Ferrari 275 GTB/4, built in 1967.

Valued at GBPŁ2M and GBPŁ6M respectfully and will be auctioned off in October by H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

It’s always a shame to hear of someone passing but he left a legacy behind that will raise much needed funds for the RNLI to keep going out and saving those lives on a daily basis.

Apparently other cars in his collection (10 altogether which he regularly drove to Europe with his wife) include a Ferrari 550 Maranello, Jaguar E-Type ‘Lightweight Evocation’ by standard-setting model specialist Bryan Wingfield and a Jaguar XK120 Fixedhead Coupe.
